My favorite thing about into the gloss, is getting to see all the different vials and serums and just all around beautiful things inside everyone’s medicine cabinet… that’s normal, right? Since beginning my skincare journey and adventuring beyond Neutrogena face wipes, and standard drugstore cleansers, not only is my skin plump and firm (save for these hormone zits I have right now, UGH), but my medicine cabinet looks like an old timey apothecary. Since I have a double whammy of extremely sensitive skin, and extremely dry skin, there are a lot of oils in my routine vs using something that drys out my skin more. I was very sad when I realized my cream cleanser was one of the things contributing to my skin drying and peeling, but hey, now it’s all good.
Vitamin C Serum – I love using serums, but instead of daily use, I alternate between the two, as not to overload my skin with too much. This serum is amazing, because it helps correct the dark spots on my face, and just makes it all around luminous. When I stop using this serum for a while, people can tell, and that’s not the best feeling, haha.
Hyaluronic Acid Serum makes my face feel plump and beautiful, like a baby’s butt. Which by the way is a really weird way to describe your face, but seriously, it is amazing. While I’m only twenty four, and I don’t really need to be using anti-aging products JUST YET, this serum seems to work best after a very very long night. It hydrates my skin again, and makes me look like I got at least two hours of sleep — which can be a lot depending on how much I’ve gone out in the past week, haha!
Nuxe Oil – Honestly, I just love the way this smells. I spray it on my temples as I leave the house, and the nutty scent surrounds me basically all day. It’s heaven.
Cleansing Oil , I’ll admit that this isn’t the only cleanser I use, my skin does feel a little bogged down after using a bunch of oily and heavy products (especially during the winter months), I will use a basic foaming cleanser, like a CeraVe, because it’s easy on sensitive skin. I’ve been using cleansing oil in the winter months, because it feels heavy duty, but leaves my skin feeling soft, and most importantly, cleansed AF.
Goat’s Milk Night Cream, My favorite part of my routine. While it makes me feel like a weirdo, serial killer, ect, to slather milk from a goat on my face in the name of beauty and nice skin, it also hydrates the HELLLL out of my face, and it’s one of the only creams that keeps me hydrated all night long.
Strivectin Sunscreen, as of the time this is posted, it is 2018, THERE 👏 IS 👏 NO 👏 EXCUSE 👏 TO 👏 NOT 👏 WEAR 👏 SUNSCREEN 👏 DAILY. Seriously, if you care for your skin in the slightest, this isn’t new and you’ve already been doing this for years. I don’t care if your primer, whatever has spf fucking 15 in it, you need some sun protection.
That just about sums up my at – home apothecary, and now I’m fighting the urge to buy even more little vials of skin care love.
