Every few months, I take stock of my health, and without fail, I come to the same conclusion every. single. time. I don’t drink NEARLY enough water. Whenever I talk to my friends about this, it’s clear that they don’t either. It’s madness! When you think about it, 8 glasses of water per day is truly not that big of a deal, but it’s *so* hard to do… but 8 happy hour margs? probably a lot easier. 😉
Starting from zero, drinking a lot of water isn’t easy, and the number one problem people have with it, is that it’s just SO BORING. When I first start waterlogging myself, I definetely miss the taste and carbonation of sugary sodas, which is where La Croix saves the day! I “reward” myself after 1 gallon of water with a grapefruit La Croix and everything feels better.
There IS also some negative side affects you can have while drinking too much water, this isn’t 100% a positive experience. I’ve found when I first go back to drinking a ton of water, the first few days after, my skin decides to break out… HARD CORE. I’ve learned this is just all the toxins coming out of my body through my skin, but it still sucks, haha.
Have you recently made attempts to drink more water? How did you do it?
